VINDICATOR were found December 23, 1996. That day, MADBALL (Support: EARTH CRISIS) were playing in the Tonwerk in Hamburg and Paddy, Michi, Bent, Tobi, Steff were there. The reason for our coming together as a band was the love of hardcore and the idea of getting something started ourselves. There was already some room in Hamburg-Bramfeld where we could practice and just a few days after the gig we were doing our best. During our second rehearsal, the song "No Remorse" came into being. It can be found on our demo tape which was published under the same name in 1998. Steff with his singing established some metal influence, where as classic old school hardcore parts were clearly recognizable. Some gigs were played, but, unfortunately, Steff after a while had to leave the band due to his studies which kept him too busy. We rearranged, Paddy took over the shouting and Tobi tried his luck on the bass. But noone was really satisfied, so we looked for a new singer, and we found Pana. Paddy returned to playing the bass, and Tobi plugged in the guitar once again. For some 6 months, this remained to be the line-up before Pana left the band, too. Again, Paddy took over singing just as Tobi was found on the bass again, and the four of us played some gigs. By the end of 2000, we had recorded our first CD, "We won`t give up...". Shortly after its release, Tom joined the band and the five of us continued, with a merry Tobi on guitar again. At the end of 2001, Bent had to leave the band after having become the father of lovely Lelia who was keeping him busy day in, day out. With Jannick (ex WARPATH) on guitar, however, more than just an acceptable substitute was found. With the regular line-up Vindicator recorded the new CD "back with nothing to lose" (True Rebel Records) in July 2003! In August 2004 Vindicator have just parted with shouter and frontman Paddy. The reasons are merely internal and will not be published. In October 2004 Vindicator welcome Uwe (Ex-Soulboys, Ex-La Cry) as their new frontman! Cheers!
